Treat yourself with Grace

Don’t bring yourself into feeling self-criticism, and shame.

Treat yourself with grace.

It’s not just about putting yourself at ease, it’s understanding that you control very little of what life throws at you.

It should provide some force to do more good, to take care of yourself and understand that you are human.

It shouldn’t be used as an excuse to not confront your wrong doings but presents an opportunity to be kind to yourself.

Essentially, treating yourself with grace is about how you interact with yourself.

The Pain Of Perfection

Chase perfection in the long term.

It’s unattainable.

But worthy of trial.

You get to improve with every piece of work you create.

You have to experiment. Get feedback. Understand it. Act on it.

You’ll fail a lot, but an experiment only fails if you don’t understand the results.

The most successful people I know have failed more times than they can count.

Yet it played a very important role in their success.

Every successful person, has their fare share of failures and they’re okay with it.

In order to be a winner, you must have felt like a loser.

Make it easy to win.

Set yourself up to win so it becomes impossible to loose.

Position yourself to win by making it easy.

Make it hard to get those distractions.

This means not keeping junk food when you’re on a diet.

It means going to the gym when you’re supposed to or maybe just live there.

The point is to make winning easy and make loosing difficult.

Make it so you have no choice but to be successful.

All this is useless unless you have a goal.

Set a goal.

Be committed to a goal.

Most people don't have goals.

No goal, no direction.

Most people feel purposeless because they don’t have a goal.

When you set a goal, be committed to it.

When you stop committing to your goal, you become a liar — lying to yourself.

If you lie to yourself, you know that your cannot trust yourself and that’s about the worst thing a person could do.

Everyone can start a business but if you think you can’t, you’re lying to yourself.

Do that over a long enough time frame and you’ll believe it.

Operate from outside.

Look at yourself from the outside.

When things get frustrating and you’re on the edge of getting mad or feeling sad, realize that it is your perception at work.

Anger = Incomplete perception.

Sadness = Incomplete perception.

Almost everything in life that is problematic is caused by the inability to fully understand the situation.

Zoom out.

Look at yourself from the outside and try to understand why.

Our world is one of cause and effect.

For every input, there’s an output.

Most people focus only on the output.
Focus on the input

Not the outputs.

Find out the inputs, have conversations with people and piece things together.
