“The greater the building, the deeper must the foundation be laid.” ~ Thomas a Kempis

To be at the top, begin by descending.

To build a skyscraper, the foundations are layed first.

All things start with a foundation.

It informs structure, design, height, etc.

Without it a building, with the least natural disaster, will be blown away within a second.

Stop spending time thinking about the top and focus on the foundation.

Most people focus on the end goal and forget the foundation.

It is why you see so many copied personal brands.

There is the big picture and steps to achieve it.

Most people focus on the picture and skip the steps.

Start by building the foundation.

Branding becomes frustrating if you lack clarity.

You will burn out, and fast!

That is why you should focus on the foundation.

Build the foundation; focused action gets things done faster.

When I was 14, I’d Google “free money online.”

I had no skill, no leverage.

I thought I could get rich by making free money.

Not a good start, but I learned something.

Nothing is free.

It’s just people trying to get rich off you.

At 15, I began learning how to code with the hopes that I could get paid for it.

Fast forward a few years, I got paid to create websites for people.

I realized, to see the end goal, focus on the foundation.

The foundation was my skill.

I laid the foundation, so should you.

It’s not about learning the greatest strategies, not about following the latest industry norms.

It’s not about accepting a worldview you disagree with because someone likes it.

It’s about understanding your angle.

No one has the conditions you have. Use that to build a foundation.

If people told their stories, we’d have less generic content.

Focus on your foundation.

Build you up from the ground.
